As a child I enjoyed art so I studied it at school, and failed when examined in it aged sixteen. However, I managed to pass in other subjects and eventually became a politics academic, a career I followed for more years than I care to count. (This long period of my life might seem irrelevant to art: but step into an exhibition at any major public art gallery today, and more likely than not you will find its theme is overtly political.) Now I am back doing art again, or rather doing more of it, as I never actually stopped. I especially enjoy painting landscapes, and swimhiking through them.
